Welcome to My Psychotherapy Practice

“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.”

  -Albert Camus

We all have strivings toward connection, understanding, and growth. We are shaped by a deep desire to be known, seen, affirmed and accepted for who we are. The more these yearnings are thwarted by the effects of deprivation, neglect, trauma or loss, the more profound and painful our longings and needs can be. Most of us, at some point in our lives, become aware of parts of ourselves that are frozen or stuck, and that hold us back. A positive, responsive, safe therapeutic relationship can help facilitate changes that you desire.

Current brain research teaches us that we are wired for growth and healing. The ability of the brain to change coupled with the power of a therapeutic relationship is an idea that has tremendous implications for psychotherapy. If you suffer with states of depression, or feelings of fear, anxiety, or loneliness, or you feel generally dissatisfied with aspects of your life, our work together can provide hope and a path towards greater peace and happiness. Time and time again, I have had the honor and privilege to help people seeking real change in the way they think, feel and/or behave. A sense of vitality and energy characterizes the results we will work toward obtaining.

I hope you will give me a call so we can talk more about you and what you are looking for in a therapist.

I am conveniently located on Manhattan's Upper West Side.
